Here we go with the Cleveland Browns.

Cleveland Browns Preseason Schedule

Aug. 12-16 at Green Bay
Aug. 19-23 St. Louis
Aug. 26-29 at Detroit
Sept. 2-3 Chicago

2010 Regular Season Opponents

Sun, Sept. 12 @ Tampa Bay Potentially a great way for the Browns to get their season kicked off with a win against the half-assed rebuilding Bucs.

Sun, Sept. 19 KANSAS CITY It is not inconceivable that Cleveland could start 2010 at 2-0; having said that with its’ dearth of talent, it’s by no means a sure bet. It would be a great way to set the table for when the schedule gets tougher.

Sun, Sept. 26 @ Baltimore We’ll see what the Browns are bringing to the table in a game where the Ravens can challenge the Browns’ defense vertically and between the tackles.

Sun, Oct. 3 CINCINNATI If Cleveland can bottle up the run game – and maybe do a little running on its own accord – they could surprise here.

Sun, Oct. 10 ATLANTA The three-headed monster of QB Matt Ryan, RB Michael Turner and WR Roddy White is extremely hard to contain for any defense, much less the Browns’.

Sun, Oct. 17 @ Pittsburgh Cleveland is the last team to be able to take advantage of Steel City sans ‘Ye of the Questionable Morals,’ aka QB Ben Roethlisberger. My Sportsbook

Sun, Oct. 24 @ New Orleans This just looks like one of those games where Saints QB Drew Brees puts up 300+ yards and multiple TDs; call me a pessimist.

Sun, Oct. 31 There will probably be enough spookiness in 2010 for this team to need Halloween; BYE

Sun, Nov. 7 NEW ENGLAND The extra week of rest and additional practice better be milked with the Pats coming to town.

Sun, Nov. 14 NEW YORK JETS The Jets aren’t looking to come to the Dawg Pound to play tiddlywinks; too bad for the home side.

Sun, Nov. 21 @ Jacksonville One of the less daunting AFC South competitors the Browns could have drawn on their slate; a respectable season relies on weeks like these to have a ‘W’ in the margin.

Sun, Nov. 28 CAROLINA Can the Browns use the good karma of the fans (if there’s any left, by Week 12) to surprise a team they don’t face very often?

Sun, Dec. 5 @ Miami If nothing else, Cleveland’s players will be suiting up in climactic comfort.

Sun, Dec. 12 @ Buffalo The kind of sloppy, mistake-prone clash that D co-ordinators thirst for and O co-ordinators lament.

Sun, Dec. 19 @ Cincinnati A big late-season rivalry game worth circling on the schedule, at least for pride’s sake.

Sun, Dec 26 BALTIMORE If Cleveland can get to Joe Flacco; if they can get RB Ray Rice off his game; if they can find room to run around massive DT Haloti Ngata; gahhh.

Sun, Jan. 2 PITTSBURGH The good news is the Browns get the Ravens and Steelers at home for the last two games of the season; the bad news is it’s the Ravens and Steelers.
