Arizona Cardinals Preseason Schedule

Aug. 12-16 Houston
Aug. 23 at Tennessee
Aug. 26-29 at Chicago
Sept. 2-3 Washington

2010 Regular Season Opponents

Sun, Sept. 12 @ St. Louis – Teams may see the Cards as ripe for the picking in 2010, and that includes the cellar-dwellers. ’Zona needs to expect more than a yawner here to come away happy.

Sun, Sept. 19 @ Atlanta – Can QB Matt Leinart put down a rum and coke long enough to deliver the ball to the solid duo of Larry Fitzgerald and Steve Breaston?

Sun, Sept. 26 OAKLAND – Losing its home-opener – against the Raiders, of all teams – would be highly discouraging for the fan-base. It shouldn’t happen.

Sun, Oct. 3 @ San Diego – We know both these teams can pass, but to win this one Cards RB Tim Hightower must out-perform Bolts RB Darren Sproles.

Sun, Oct. 10 NEW ORLEANS – Surely Arizona’s secondary wants to shut up everyone raving about the Saints’ vaunted passing attack.

Sun, Oct. 17 BYE My Sportsbook

Sun, Oct. 24 @ Seattle – Pete Carroll’s men shored up their secondary with the addition of rookie S Earl Thomas from Texas. Is this the case of one team going north-bound and the other going south-bound in the division?

Sun, Oct. 31 TAMPA BAY – We could see some good ole Cardinals football, the brand we’ve become accustomed to seeing the past few seasons, on display here.

Sun, Nov. 7 @ Minnesota – With Brett Favre, you could make the argument the Vikes are the best team in the conference. Without him, playing Minny still isn’t exactly a game of tiddlywinks.

Sun, Nov. 14 SEATTLE – It’s time for ’Zona to get the ball vertical with an indoor feel.

Sun, Nov. 21 @ Kansas City Chiefs – WR Dwayne Bowe is all possession, and RB Jamaal Charles is all speed. Put those two molds together and you have Andre (or Calvin) Johnson.

Sun, Nov. 28 SAN FRANCISCO – If the Niners don’t try to do too much in this game, they might just come away with a surprise treat.

Sun, Dec. 5 ST. LOUIS – The Cards could possibly be getting frustrated at this point in the season and could possibly want to crush a lesser opponent. Check.

Sun, Dec. 12 DENVER – The Broncos are such a weird, head-scratching club. They never do what you think they’re going to, outcome-wise.

Sun, Dec. 19 @ Carolina – Leinart could be showing rookie Jimmy Clausen that you can party your first few years in the league and still come away with a starting gig, but that’s really not a good example to follow.

Sat, Dec. 25 DALLAS – Arizona likely can’t stop Dallas’ myriad of weapons, but the Cowboys could stop the Cards’. Doesn’t look good for the home team.

Sun, Jan. 2 @ San Francisco – Getting high and listening to a Grateful Dead compilation might be the highlight of this road trip. Here’s to hoping the Cardinals aren’t grateful the 2010 season is dead.
