NCAA Football Betting – Colorado Buffaloes at Missouri Tigers

The Missouri Tigers (5-2 SU, 3-3 ATS) have just come off a couple of games that were murder for them. They will try to take advantage of a highly winnable home game on Saturday when they play host to the Colorado Buffaloes (4-3 SU, 2-4 ATS) in NCAA college football action in the Big 12 Conference that is scheduled to kick off at 6:30 PM ET at Memorial Stadium (artificial turf) in Columbia, MO.

Saturday, October 25
BetUS NCAAF Betting Odds: MISSOURI -22

Here are some of the NCAA college football betting trends as they relate to this matchup:

* COL has covered one of its last five games
* COL has covered one of its last five road games
* COL has lost 14 of its last 17 road games SU
* COL has played six of its last eight road games OVER the total
* MIZZ has won 17 of its last 21 games SU
* MIZZ has won 20 of its last 23 home games SU

Also….

* COL has covered six of the last eight meetings
* COL has won six of the last nine meetings SU
* COL has covered four of the last six meetings as the road team

We’re not sure if last year’s game was valuable for reference, but it would be hard to dominate a team the way Missouri did Colorado IN BOULDER last year. The Tigers had 25 first downs to only seven for Colorado, and had a whopping yardage edge of 598-196. Chase Daniel threw for 421 yards and five touchdowns, and three of those scores went to Chase Coffman. The final was 55-10, and probably could have been much worse. Yes, Missouri must be wondering where the running game went, as it registered only 94 yards combined in the last two weeks against Oklahoma State and Texas. But maybe that rushing game gets back to normal against Colorado, which has allowed 4.4 yards a carry.

We don’t want to be too critical of Colorado’s offense because there have been some injuries. The runner who was supposed to provide such a tremendous boost – Darrell Scott, the fabulous freshman find, has been slowed with ankle problems, and limited to just 19 yards in the last three games. passing has been difficult as well, and Cody Hawkins, the coach’s son, was relieved last week by Tyler Hansen, who threw the team’s lone touchdown pass to Scotty McKnight.

The Buffs were outgained by 113 yards a game over a stretch where they faced Florida State, Texas and Kansas. They’re at that same level of opposition this week. And they are not good travelers either (covering four of their last 17 road games). Weapons are a problem, and there’s no way to trade points.

We’ll lay the points with a Missouri team that is angry after its 25-point shellacking by Texas, and the 22-point favorite in the BetUS NCAA college football betting odds.
