The Cowboys have won 7 of their last 8 with a victory 24-17 over Texas Tech last week and the Buffaloes are coming off losing 3 of their last 4 with the defeat 17-10 against Iowa State.

OSU QB Zac Robinson got hammered last week. He wasn’t only just knocked out of the game but he fumbled the ball, giving it back to Texas Tech with 98 seconds remaining. His defense, however, kept the Red Raiders from advancing.

“We want to do what’s best for him first,” Gundy said. “If he’s not ready to play then we’re not going to play him. … We want to do what’s best for him and his future. Then we’ll do what’s best for the team next.”

Robinson has been a key player for this team throwing 15 TD this season; however keep in mind he has also been picked off quite a few times (7). And without WR Dez Bryant in the lineup, Robinson has been looking for WR Hubert Anyiam.

However with a hurt QB and their top WR suspended, the Cowboys have put their hopes on RB Keith Toston shoulders. The senior is nearing the 1000 yard rushing mark and has 10 TD; he has scored in at 5 of the last 6 games.

On the other side Colorado has the second worst total defense in the Big 12 allowing 28.7 points per game and they seem unable or unwilling to stop the run, allowing 14 rushing TDs on the ground this season.

“I think the guys’ spirits are good and we always talk to the guys about the finer points of life … and finishing is always one of them,” Colorado’s coach Dan Hawkins said. “For us, we have a really great opportunity here against a great football team on national TV to go play well.”

Colorado will need RB Rodney Stewart to be at his best. He must find the end zone like he has in 4 of his last 5 games.

Consider these college football betting trends: Colorado is 6-15 ATS in its last 21 games on the road and Oklahoma State is 4-1 ATS in its last 5 games.

My pick: Oklahoma State will cover the 18 points.
