The Big Ten championship could very well hang in the balance with this huge game in the Horseshoe. Statistically; these teams match up very well – two uninspired offenses meeting stout defense and special teams units. However, many people think that Iowa has come back to earth after being knocked off by Northwestern last week. The Hawkeyes have been grinding games out all season, narrowly beating puny Northern Iowa and needing late fourth-quarter surges to take care of several opponents on their schedule.
Ohio State, on the other hand, have righted the ship since its embarrassing loss to Purdue a few weeks ago. 
The Bucks convincingly beat Penn State in Happy Valley last week and if QB Terrelle Pryor could just have a productive day passing the football, the Scarlet and Grey would have virtually a care in the world.
Instead, naysayers are claiming [head coach Jim] ‘Tresselball’ (conservative playcalling, relying on defense/special teams) is going the way of the dodo bird. A big win at home this week would go far in silencing the critics.
Iowa’s chances should hinge on the status of quarterback Ricky Stanzi, which is doubtful. Stanzi had surgery to repair a sprained ankle earlier in the week. While OSU certainly has the edge, both teams have a grinding style and Iowa plays its best in the biggest games. I think Ohio State will win this ballgame, but not by as large a margin as others predict, even without Stanzi. Expect a slobberknocker in Columbus on Saturday afternoon.
