Aggies vs Badgers NCAA Football Spread/Handicapping
Utah State should be feeling as about as good as could be coming into this tough road matchup. Last week, in a rare nationally televised game, they beat Utah in overtime. They hadn’t beaten the Utes in some time and will look to carry that momentum into Madison.

These two squads have never faced off and winning on the road is difficult, but after what we saw last week of the Badgers, maybe not as difficult as expected.
The Aggies won in surprising fashion last week shutting down the Utes on the ground and limiting them through the air. If they want to have a chance this week though they will need to be more careful though, as they put the ball on the ground 4 times against Utah. QB Chuckie Keeton is very athletic. If they are going to mount another upset they are going to need him to have another strong game both running and throwing.
This is a hard one to call. The reality is Utah State might be perceived higher right now than they will be all season while the opposite is probably true for Wisconsin. That might account for as much as 7 or more points of value, making it hard to go with the visiting underdogs.

What has happened to the Badgers? They were in a funk in their opener but many linked that to first game jitters even though it was against an FCS opponent. Then they lay an egg against Oregon State. It is just shocking given the success we have become accustomed to from this program. Are these games an indicator or an aberration? If they are the former than Utah State definitely has a chance on Saturday night.
This Wisconsin team is night and day from what we are used to. I can’t believe I am writing this but they can’t run the ball. Sure QB Danny O’Brien is no Russell Wilson but even before Wilson this team was always good for 200+ yards on the ground per game. That has been their total over two games.
It is staggering and if it doesn’t improve this team is destined for a very poor season. Last week they only rushed for 35 yards total. That is usually one drive’s worth.
As stated earlier this is either the best or worst time to get behind the Badgers. After two bad games in a row perception may be worse than it has been in a decade but I suppose it is possible that this team is also just not up to snuff.
I think they can cover the number, especially for a home night game that is now as important as any might be – if only for confidence sake.
