Carl Winston was the leading rusher for the Cougars and he will have to play well in this game, especially if Tuel cannot go. UNLV has not played bad defense this season and even in the loss to Northern Arizona they gave up less than 200 passing yards and less than 100 rushing yards.
UNLV freshman QB Nick Sherry passed for 239 yards in the Northern Arizona game and he was not picked off after throwing 3 INT in the Runnin Rebels opening loss of the season. RB Tim Cornett rushed for 141 yards with a TD in the Northern Arizona game and he has cracked the 100-yard rushing barrier in both games for UNLV this season. The Cougars have played decent run defense this season and if they stuff Cornett and now allow Sherry to have a big game through the air they should win.
