South Florida Bulls vs. Louisville Cardinals Free Gambling Prediction & Week 8 Preview

Bulls vs Cardinals NCAA Football Spread/Handicapping

Another year, another disappointing streak of games for USF.  The Bulls are travelling to Louisville trying to halt a 4 game losing streak by beating the best team in the conference.

South Florida

Losing to Rutgers and Florida State is acceptable but losses to Ball State and new conference mate Temple are not.

This program has no sure things the rest of the way and I think coach Skip Holtz job is in trouble.

This team has talent but it just doesn’t translate to success on the field.  QB BJ Daniels is easily one of the most enigmatic players in the country and may actually be regressing as a senior.

It seems that he, like the rest of the team, can only perform to potential in an underdog role.  This year the defense has really struggled.

They have the athletic talent but seem lost out there.  It is shocking this team won at Nevada early in the year the way they look lately.

Given the recent history there is no reason to get behind USF.  Also, there doesn’t seem to be much trend data going on in this matchup to favour their side.

USF did beat the Cardinals at Louisville a couple of years ago but the 8 years before that the home team on this series has won while covering most of the time.

Louisville

The way things are shaping up there might be one team from the Big East with a perfect record at the end of the season. [soliloquy id=”82219″]

Right now Louisville, Rutgers and Cincinnati are undefeated and with the round robin format each will face the other.

This could be a factor this week as the Cardinals will be hosting the Bearcats next weekend and might be looking ahead.  They have handled every challenge thus far but this team is not so great as to just overwhelm a competent opponent.

If the Cardinals continue to win you have to think QB Teddy Bridgewater will start gathering some Heisman pub.  He does not have overwhelming statistics but has proven to be a competent game manager with the raw talent to make the spectacular play on occasion.

Louisville is an efficient, balanced, well coached squad that is unlikely to beat itself  – and nobody else has yet either.

Against an unpredictable South Florida squad I like the Cardinals at the current number.  If it drops I like them even better but I wouldn’t go higher than the current figure.

Most of their games have been closer in score than they are on the field and their record against the number is just 3-3 for the season
