Collin Klein was in the heart of the Heisman race before the Baylor loss where he had a terrible game. The Wildcats are led by the rushing offense, but in the Baylor game Klein and John Hubert only combined for 82 rushing yards. There is a good chance these guys will get back on track facing a Texas rushing defense that ranks 103rd in the nation and gave up 217 rushing yards in the loss to TCU.

Texas has a solid pass defense ranking 39th in the nation and while KSU’s strength is the running game Klein can air out with WR of Chris Harper, who had 123 receiving yards in the loss to Baylor, and Tyler Lockett each averaging over 15 yards per catch.

Case McCoy will get the start under center for Texas with David Ash banged up. He has a decent WR corps, but has not mad a start since the 2011 season. Kansas State only ranks 80th in the nation defending the pass, but they have a solid pass rush with 27 sacks on the season.

While KSU ranks 18th in the nation defending the run they were torched by Baylor giving up a ton of yards on the ground. Johnathan Gray and Joe Bergeron have combined to rush for over 1,200 yards this season and they will get a lot of touches in this game.

Kansas State has won 4 straight games against Texas.

In some betting trends for this Big 12 game Texas is 4-1 ATS in their last 5 road games vs. a team with a winning home record, 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games, and they have an Under record of 4-0 in their last 4 games.

Kansas State is 6-0-1 ATS vs. a team with a winning record, 5-1 ATS in their last 6 home games, and they have an Over record of 8-0 in their last 8 home games.

Jason’s Pick: Texas is 0-5 ATS in their last 5 games against KSU and that trend will continue. The Wildcats will get back on track at home and win this game, cover the spread, and capture the Big 12 title.
