The Miami of Ohio RedHawks out of the MAC take on the Cincinnati Bearcats from the Big East this Saturday night at Nippert Stadium in Cincinnati, OH. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. (ET) and the game will be broadcast live on ESPN.com.

Miami (3-2, 2-0) started the season with a major test as it took on No. 14 Florida on the road and easily covered as a 38 point underdog in a 34-12 loss. The RedHawks also took on No. 24 Missouri but did not fare as well in a 51-13 loss as a 20 point road underdog. Last week as a three-point home underdog they shocked Kent State 27-21 to remain undefeated in conference play.

The Miami offense is led by QB Zac Dysert, who has completed 110-of-164 attempts for 1,058 yards and five TD’s. WR Armand Robinson has been his primary target through the first five games. He has 38 receptions for 410 yards and three TD’s. The RedHawks have only gained 375 yards on the ground so far, led by RB Tracy Wood’s 193. NFL Betting

Cincinnati has been a far cry from last year’s team that went undefeated in the regular season and coasted to the Big East title. Losses in three of the Bearcats first four games leave them at 1-3 overall, but they have yet to begin conference play. Their best showing so far was a two point 31-29 loss to No.6 Oklahoma as a 14 point home underdog two weeks ago. Cincinnati is hoping to use this inspired effort to jump-start its season from this point on.

Bearcat QB Zach Collaros has only completed 60.6 percent of his passes for 964 yards, but he does have nine TD throws against just one interception. WR’s D.J. Woods and Armon Binns have been productive, combining for 43 receptions for 670 yards and six TD’s. RB Isaiah Pead leads the Bearcats minimal ground game with 205 yards on 31 carries.

Miami is 4-6 straight-up in its last 10 games and 6-4 against the spread. The RedHawks are 0-3 SU and 1-2 ATS in their last three games on the road. The total has stayed ‘under’ in three of their last five games.

Cincinnati is 6-4 SU and 2-8 ATS in its last 10 games. The Bearcats are 4-1 SU in their last five home games but just 1-4 ATS. The total has gone ‘over’ in five of their last seven games.

In the last 10 years of this on-going series, Cincinnati won six out of 10 games SU including the last four. ATS, the Bearcats are also 6-4 in the last 10 and 3-1 in the last four.

The total has gone ‘over’ in three of the last five games. Miami has one of its better teams over the past few seasons and should be able to keep pace with the Bearcats behind a solid passing game.

Cincinnati will get the win but the RedHawks keep it close until the end.

Ricardo,

Thanks for the comment as I do appreciate you reading my previews.

Just like anyone else can do, I examine the matchup and look at the past trends of each team and any head-to-head play. I then make my best guesstimate based on this information.

The main value of these articles are the information they provide about each game, not any conclusion that may be drawn.
