Michigan
The Michigan Wolverines are on their way to a bowl game again this year, but the team still hasn’t played up to expectations inside the Big Ten. Their last chance to pull off a big win is this weekend in Columbus.
Denard Robinson has cooled off a little bit from his amazing start, but he has still had a fantastic season. Robinson has 1,538 rushing yards, which is the most of any quarterback in the country. He is still working on his throwing motion, but he is a fairly accurate passer. The Wolverines have the deepest group of wide receivers in the country, led by Roy Roundtree. Michigan still hasn’t gotten the kind of production they would like from their tailbacks, but because of Robinson they average 257 yards per game on the ground. The Wolverines average 515 yards per game overall, so this is definitely a good offensive unit.
The Michigan defense isn’t good at all this year. Injuries haven’t helped the cause, but most onlookers are still surprised at how poor this unit has played. In their last five games, this defense has allowed 39.8 points per game. They are terrible against the pass, and they aren’t much better against the run.
The Buckeyes ground game has gotten going over the last few weeks, and Michigan will need to stop the run if they hope to win this game. 
Ohio State
Ohio State received a strong test from Iowa, but they left Kinnick Stadium with a key victory last weekend. The Buckeyes will gain at least a share of the Big Ten title for the sixth straight year if they win this game against their rival.
Terrelle Pryor was picked off twice last weekend, but his leadership and maturity helped the team come from behind in the fourth quarter. Pryor is a supremely talented player who has improved quite a bit as a passer. Pryor doesn’t run nearly as often as Robinson, but he is great at making something out of nothing. The passing statistics show his marked improvement from a year ago, as he now sports an impressive 66% completion percentage. Boom Herron has stepped up as the Buckeyes primary running back. Herron is averaging 5.3 yards per carry, and the Buckeyes have been running the ball well of late. This is a balanced offense that has improved as the season has progressed.
The Ohio State defense is a solid unit once again this year. They are ranked third in the nation in total defense and fifth in points allowed per game. They have shown a bit of vulnerability against the run against elite teams, but they have been solid against the pass. Cameron Heyward is the star of the defense, but they have plenty of guys who do a great job playing fundamentally sound football.
The Pick:
These two teams don’t like each other at all. It is probably the best rivalry in college football. Ohio State has the better team, but Michigan will probably put some points on the board in this one. I think Ohio State wins this game, but I think the over is the best play on the board.
