Miami (Ohio) Redhawks (1-8) v Temple Owls (6-2)
Miami (Ohio): 4-5 ATS / Temple: 6-1 ATS

The Miami (Ohio) RedHawks square off against the Temple Owls on Thursday, and will be looking to extend their wining streak to two.

Miami (Ohio) posted their first victory of the season, snapping their 13-game losing streak, winning a MAC match up with Toledo, 31-24, at Yager Stadium in Week 9.

QB Zac Dysert went 31-for-51 for 344 yards and rushed for 60 as he ran for two touchdowns and threw for one.

The team looked good but there is still a lot of work to be done, as they will now face a red-hot Owls squad.

The last meeting between these two teams was on Oct 4, 2008, the Owls walked away with a 28-10 victory.

Temple is atop the MAC East and is currently on a six-game wining streak including a 27-24 at Navy Memorial Stadium in their last outing. Their win against Navy makes them bowl eligible for the first time in 30 years. Temple is winning games at home and on the road. Freshman running back Bernard Pierce has five 100-yard games this season, and has rushed for 1,033 yards on 164 carries. The Owls offensive line can take a lot of credit too; as they have been top-notch in creating space for Pierce. QB Vaughn Charlton continues to struggle with the pass; he was just 5-for-17 for 37 yards and two interceptions in the game against Navy and is 90 for 177 for 50.8 percent on the season.

Miami (OH) vs. Temple Odds

The Owls are –14-point favorites in this one.

The Owls will need to put pressure on quarterback Zac Dysert forcing bad passes that may result in turnovers. The Redhawks will need to find a way to shut down running back Bernard Pierce of they want a shot at extending their unbeaten streak to two.

Redhawks vs. Owls Free Pick

I like the Owls in this one, as I just don’t think the Redhawks can stop the rushing attack.

Next up:
Miami (Ohio) home to Bowling Green, Thursday, November 12
Temple at Akron, Friday, November 13
