Meanwhile, NIU arrive at the Glass Bowl with the division title and a 10-game unbeaten streak on the line.

The Huskies broke into the top 15 with a 48-27 victory over Ball State behind a 21-0 fourth-quarter rally last time out. Now they will aim to keep their BCS Bowl hopes alive as Jordan Lynch and crew look to stay perfect.

The defense had another solid outing, even though they allowed 27 points — the most surrendered in any game since a 43-39 victory over Eastern Illinois on Sept. 21.

Northern Illinois defensive end Joe Windsor had a 49-yard interception return for a touchdown in the game’s final minute.

Meanwhile, the Rockets take care of business against Buffalo, posting a 51-41 victory over the Bulls.

The Toledo offense lit up the scoreboard and led 31-0 at the half, while the defense held off a Bulls late flurry, even though allowing 600 yards of offense for the game.

The offense rolled up 551 yards split evenly between the ground and air, as Kareem Hunt posted 31 carries for 186 yards and Damion Jones-Moore ripping off a 53-yard TD run.

Quarterback Terrance Owens was hot, and connected on 11-of-20 throws for 228 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Matt ‘s Free Prediction

This is the Huskies biggest test against a very good Rockets squad who has performed very well at home.

However, if the Toledo defense gives NIU the latitude they gave Buffalo last time out, it is going to get ugly very quickly.

I am backing Lynch and crew.

Northern Illinois 37, Toledo 24
