NCAA Week 7 Football Betting – Notre Dame vs. UNC

Online sportsbook customers and NCAA football betting sharps will have an exciting sports wagering opportunity this weekend as the Notre Dame Fighting Irish travel south and meet up with the University of North Carolina Tar Heels.

In terms of marketing, this game couldn’t get any bigger. Walk into any “campus” type clothing store and you’ll understand how big this game is for the NCAA. For BetUS Sportsbook customers however, this could mean big dollars in their pockets as well, as the NCAA football betting odds favor a vulnerable North Carolina squad!

UNC is making an unusual appearance in the Top 25, following a surprising victory over then-ranked Connecticut last week. Running back Shaun Draughn had somewhat of a coming out party, rushing for 109 yards on 19 carries. Most impressive is the fact that the Huskies defensive line is generally very tough, and Draughn had been all-but silent in the weeks leading up to the UConn tilt. However, Draughn was forced to come up with a big name because of the poor performance from quarterback Cam Sexton, who completed just nine passes all game long, despite a stellar receiving corps.

Sharp money may be coming in on Notre Dame because of this quarterback controversy. The Tar Heels just might be thrown to the wolves, which would certainly push the NCAA football betting lines in favor of the Fighting Irish.

The boys in the golden helmets made a big statement in their win over a reputable team in Stanford last week. Pivot Jimmy Clausen announced that the Irish are a dangerous passing time by going 29-for-40 for 342 yards, including 21 consecutive points in the 2nd and 3rd quarter. North Carolina hasn’t seen a passing attack like this yet—they were spared when Tyler Lorenzen went down for UConn prior to the game. It’s doubtful that the Tar Heels’ freshman quarterback will be able to go toe-to-toe with a season offense such as Notre Dame’s.

BetUS customers should go where the sharp money is going. Shaun Draughn has yet to prove that he can turn in 100-yard performances on a regular basis, and the Heels’ receivers are rendered useless if Paulus cannot get the ball to them!

The Free Pick: Go with the Irish to cover 7.5 points, and have a look at the under in this matchup as well!
