College Football Bowl Games
The first-round of College Football Bowl games occurs on Dec. 20th! Sports betting fans had better start getting their bankrolls together for what promises to be a very profitable online college football bowl betting season.
It makes sense to analyze each one of the college football games individually against the BetUS online wagering spread. So, why don’t we do that starting with the Dec. 20th games?

College Football Betting Analysis of Dec. 20th Bowl Games
Eagle Bank Bowl
Navy Midshipmen vs. Wake Forest Demon Deacons
Kick-off: 11:00 am est.
Analysis: Wake Forest is favored by 3 points against the BetUS online betting spread. I like Wake because they play out of a tougher conference than Navy, the ACC, and Navy has been awful at times this season. Then again, Navy beat Wake straight-up and against the spread in September. So in this rematch does Wake have a real shot? I’m going to say no. Navy knows how to beat this team. Why not start out the college football bowl betting season by taking a long shot on the BetUS money-line? I’m making a football bet on the Midshipmen to win straight-up.
Pick: Navy Midshipmen at + 120 on the BetUS online sportsbook money line.
New Mexico Bowl
Fresno State Bulldogs vs. Colorado State Rams
Kick-off: 2:30 pm est.
Analysis: These two teams haven’t faced off since 2006. In that game the Rams won easily, but Fresno State is a good team. They are well coached and they played well in every game this season except for that loss to Boise State in their last. Boise State is ranked in the top ten. Colorado State has been up and down this season with blow-out losses to Colorado and the Cal Golden Bears but the Rams are riding a two game winning streak. Forget trends in these bowl games. The winner against the BetUS online betting spread is going to be the team that is best prepared. I have to go with Fresno State in regards to that. They should win this game straight-up on the BetUS money line at – 140 as well as cover the 3 points spread.
Pick: Fresno State Bulldogs at – 3 against the BetUS online wagering spread.
St. Petersburg Bowl
Memphis Tigers vs. South Florida Bulls
Kick-off: 4:30 pm est.
Analysis: Memphis is a huge 13 point underdog in this game and for good reason. They didn’t play nearly as tough of a schedule as South Florida. The losses to Rice, Central Florida and Louisville makes the Tigers a tough online bet to make in this one. But, then again, the Bulls weren’t studs during the regular season going 4 and 7 against the BetUS online betting spread. The Bulls lost to Louisville as well. So, what do we do in this case? Again, we throw out the trends and just go with the team getting the points. It’s always a good rule of thumb when betting these bowl games. Memphis probably doesn’t have a chance to upset the Bulls straight-up but I do like them at + 13. That’s the online wager that I will be making.

Las Vegas Bowl
BYU Cougars vs. Arizona Wildcats
Kick-off: 8:00 pm est.
Analysis: This is a very odd against the spread line because Arizona really isn’t that good. The BetUS online betting spread has the Wildcats favored at – 3. I mean, BYU has only lost two games this season. The Wildcats have lost five games this season. BYU’s losses were against TCU and Utah. Utah is undefeated and TCU is ranked. What’s going on here? Were online betting fans really impressed by the way the Wildcats beat the ASU Sun Devils in their last? I’m all over the Cougars on the BetUS money line in this game. They could blow out Arizona.
