No. 20 Baylor Bears vs. No 21 Texas A&M Aggies Preview

Yeah, the Red Raiders have lost 2 straight and their offense has struggled, but they are at home and handed Oklahoma their only loss this season. NCAAF lines have Oklahoma State as big 17-point away favorites with a HUGE total of 78.5.

In their last games Tech was crushed by Texas 52-20 and Oklahoma State beat Kansas State 52-45.

Oklahoma State has the nation’s 2nd highest scoring team led by the trio of QB Brandon Weeden, WR Justin Blackmon, and RB Joseph Randle. Weeden had over 500 passing yards last week and Blackmon had over 200 receiving yards. The Red Raiders have a good pass defense (ranked 36th in the league) and if they give up a ton of points their offense will have to come alive to have any chance to win.

Randle did not have a big game last week mainly because Kansas State has a great run defense, but the Red Raiders only rank 118th in the nation, out of 120 teams, defending the run.

Tech is the nation’s 19th highest scoring team, but they have only scored 27 points in their last 2 games. The guy that may have to do it all is QB Seth Dodge, who passed for 381 yards and 2 TD in last week’s loss to Texas. He has several legit targets and may have a big game since the OSU pass defense only ranks 100th in the nation. [soliloquy id=”82219″]

The Red Raiders took a big blow when WR Eric Stephens was lost for the season with a knee injury and freshman RB DeAndre Washington has struggled since taking over the rushing duties. Still, he has to help Dodge out and that just may happen since the OSU run defense only ranks 99th in the nation.

The Cowboys have beaten the Red Raiders 3 straight times.

Betting Trends

Oklahoma State has been a good betting team going 7-2 ATS this season and has an O/U record of 4-3-2 and Texas Tech is 5-4 ATS and has an O/U record of 7-2.

Oklahoma State is 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games against teams with a winning record, 5-1 ATS in their last 6 Big 12 games, and has an Under record of 4-1-1 in their last 6 games when they are favored on the road.

Texas Tech is 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games as a home underdog, 10-2-1 ATS in their last 13 games following an ATS loss, and has an Over record of 7-1 in their last 8 games.

Jason’s Pick: Texas Tech has given up at least 34 points in their last 7 games and that will continue in this game, but I think Dodge will have a big game and the Red Raiders will also score a lot of points. OSU will win this game, but Tech will cover. Take the Over as well since this game will be a barnburner.
