In their last games Boise State crushed UNLV 32-7 while Wyoming lost to Fresno State 42-14.

This season Boise State is 4-3 ATS and they have an Over/Under record of 2-5 and Wyoming is 4-3 ATS and they have an Over/Under record of 2-4.

Not only is Wyoming the big home favorite they will be without head coach Dave Christensen, who was suspended for a game after losing it in their loss to Air Force a couple of weeks back.

Boise State does not have a dynamic offense, but they are well balanced ranking 79th in the nation in passing yards per game and 69th in rushing yards per game. QB Joe Southwick passed for 243 yards in the win over UNLV, but he has to be careful with the rock, as he has 3 INT in his last 3 games. In this game he will be facing a Cowboys’ pass defense that ranks 71st in the nation. [soliloquy id=”82219″]

RB D.J. Harper has rushed for over 600 yards this season and has 3 games of rushing for over 100 yards and he may add to the total since the Wyoming run defense only ranks 104th in the nation.

The one player that has to play well for the Cowboys to pull of the upset is Brett Smith, as he has 1,335 yards with 14 TD and a couple of solid targets. The Cowboys do not have a good rushing offense so Smith may have to shoulder the offensive load. However, he will b facing a Boise State pass defense that ranks 8th in the nation.

Boise State is one of the national leaders with 22 forced turnovers and Wyoming cannot turn the ball over or this game may get ugly.

In some betting trends for this MWC match up Boise State is 21-7 ATS in their last 28 road games, 2-6 ATS vs. a team with a losing record, and they have an Over record of 6-1 in their last 7 road games.

Wyoming is 8-3 ATS in their last 11 conference games, 1-4 ATS in their last 5 home games, and they have an Under record of 5-2-1 in their last 8 home games.

Jason’s Pick: This one is an easy call, as even giving 16.5 points the Broncos will shut down the Wyoming offense and they will easily win on the road and cover the big spread.
