NCAA football betting players will have a slew of big games to pick from on Friday, and one of the most intriguing comes from the Conference USA, where Tulsa will host Southern Mississippi with a lot on the line. Southern Miss can claim the C-USA East with a win and a loss for Central Florida, while the Tulsa needs a victory and a SMU loss to take the West, so this could be a preview of the conference title game.

The Golden Eagles (8-3, 5-2) won their third straight with a 59-41 victory over Houston, and this win was even bigger as three Southern Miss players were shot after a win over Central Florida. Southern Miss did it for their fallen teammates and put on a show against the Cougars, racking up 642 yards of offense on Senior Night.
Austin Davis was 24-of-31 for 293 yards and two touchdowns, while running for 111 yards and four more scores, while Kendrick Hardy ran for 205 yards and two touchdowns for the Golden Eagles, who had 349 yards on the ground.
Sure, the Golden Eagles gave up 491 yards in just over 22 minutes, but they also forced a turnover and stopped the Cougars on nine of 11 third-down chances.
The Golden Hurricane (8-3, 5-2) took their fifth in a row with a 31-28 nailbiter over UTEP at home, their third game in the last four that they’ve won by a field goal or less. G.J. Kinne was 19-of-34 for 325 yards and a pair of touchdowns for the Golden Hurricane, who had 543 yards of offense, but they just couldn’t put UTEP away. The defense has been taking heat all season, but they came up big in the fourth quarter, keeping UTEP off the board.
Betting services have Tulsa as a 3.5-point NCAA football betting favorite in this C-USA showdown, and these two have met three times since 2006, with the Golden Hurricane holding a 2-1 edge both SU and ATS. In their lone trip to Tulsa, the Golden Eagles fell 20-6 in 2006, but this will be a game with many more points than that.
Both rank in the top 20 in terms of points scored, so this will be a shootout. We’re putting our money on Southern Miss, who will be inspired by the plight of their fallen teammates, and not only that, their defense has been consistently better than Tulsa’s as the Golden Hurricane are 105th in the country on that side of the ball.
