The BCS Rankings have finally gathered the balls to show up, and the rankings are pretty much exactly what you’d expect to see until you get to the fourth and fifth spots. Did your favorite college betting team make the list?

1. Florida Gators (6-0 SU, 2-2-1 ATS)

The Gators staved off an upset special from Arkansas this weekend, and already have a win over LSU in their back pocket. No team is deadlier in the BCS than the undefeated Gators who are looking for their third BCS Championship in four years with Tebow in the fold.

Next Game: Florida (-22) vs. Mississippi State

2. Alabama Crimson Tide (7-0 SU, 5-2 ATS)

Nick Saban’s boys are making the strongest case in the nation to face the Gators in the BCS Championship. With the fourth ranked overall defense (11.6 points against), the Crimson Tide are piling up decisive wins. A 20-6 victory over gutsy South Carolina proves this team has the moxy to back up all the big talk Saban made in the preseason. Why else would the AP Rankings list ‘Bama number one ahead of Florida?

Next Game: Tennessee vs. Alabama (-16.5)

3. Texas Longhorns (6-0 SU, 1-4-1 ATS)

While the Longhorns survived a scare from the Sooners, they’ve been putting together wins and have the tough part of their schedule behind them. Getting their ass handed to them by the oddsmakers, along with Colt McCoy’s production slowing to a snail’s crawl, make them tough to bank on… especially with Alabama playing so well in a tougher division.

Next Game: Texas (-14) vs. Missouri

4. Boise State Broncos (6-0 SU, 4-1 ATS)

Killing the Broncos is TCU’s monstrous run in the Mountain West. This is what happens when the coach simply complains about being ignored on a national level without offering a solution. The quick fix is demanding a sterner schedule with bigger opponents. Look what it did for Utah! The Broncos may be undefeated, but they’re patty cake schedule is murdering their chances of a BCS bid.

Next Game: Boise State (-24) vs. Hawaii

5. Cincinnati Bearcats (6-0 SU, 3-2 ATS)

Tony Pike and the Bearcats have a nice season packaged together, but bigger schools from tougher divisions (USC, Iowa, TCU, Miami) are right on their heels. This is more of a “pat on the back” for their effort thus far this season. Don’t expect the good times to last for the Bearcats.

Next Game: Louisville vs. Cincinnati (-17)

BIGGEST RISER – #6 Iowa Hawkeyes (7-0 SU, 4-2 ATS)

The Hawkeyes stood pat at eleventh for two straight weeks despite tight wins over Arkansas State and Michigan. A decisive spanking of the Wisconsin Badgers 20-10 threw them way high in the eyes of the pollsters. The biggest games on the schedule remaining are against Michigan State, with a November 14th date against the OSU Buckeyes looming in the distance

Next Game: Iowa (-1.5) vs. Michigan State

BIGGEST LOSER – Notre Dame Fighting Irish (4-2 SU, 2-4 ATS)

The Irish had an upset in the making against USC, until Jimmy Clausen failed to seal the deal (twice!) in the final minutes of the fourth quarter. The dramatic run for the Fighting Irish ended when Clausen threw two errant passes in to the endzone, missing wide open targets and getting the Irish gut-punched by the rival USC Trojans.

Next Game: Boston College vs. Notre Dame (-9.5)
