On the season Baylor is 6-4 ATS with an Over/Under record of 7-2 and Texas Tech is 6-5 ATS and they have an Over/Under record of 6-4.

Baylor has the 3rd ranked passing offense in the nation led by QB Nick Florence, who had a good game against Kansas State with 238 passing yards with 2 TD, but he was picked off twice. WR Terrance Williams is his main target by far and for the season he has 82 receptions for over 1,500 receiving yards. While Texas Tech has the 11th ranked pass defense they gave up 231 passing yards.

One of the main reasons Baylor is the favorite is that the Tech rushing defense was torched last week giving up 256 yards on the ground to Oklahoma State and Baylor rushed for 342 yards last week against a solid Kansas State run defense. The Red Raiders will be facing the RB duo of Lache Seastrunk and Glasco Martin, who tore up KSU last week. [soliloquy id=”82219″]

Seth Doege leads the Tech offense and while he has a deep and great WR corps he did not have the best game last week passing for 230 yards with 1 TD and 2 INT. There is a good chance he will get back on track in this game facing a Baylor pass defense that ranks 118th in the nation out of 120 FBS teams.

One of the main reasons the Bears beat Kansas State is that they shut down KSU’s rushing offense, which is legit, holding them to 76 yards on the ground. They played much better than they have all season and overall their run D ranks 88th in the nation. Tech only rushed for 99 yards in the loss to OSU and lead RB Kenny Williams has to run the ball well to take some pressure of Doege.

In some betting trends for this Big 12 match up Baylor is 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall, 7-3 ATS vs. a team with a winning record, and they have an Over record of 14-2 in their last 16 games following a S.U. win.

Texas Tech is 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games overall, 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games following a ATS loss, and they have an Over record of 4-1 in their last 5 games.

Jason’s Pick: This game is at a neutral site in Dallas, which is where Baylor is located. I think Baylor will play well again and they will win and cover in a game that will definitely be a shootout.
