Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. (ET) and the game will be available on ESPN2.
Michigan is off to a strong start with five wins in its first six games, but it is just 2-2 against the spread. The Wolverines are averaging 68.2 points a game, while giving-up an average of just 56.8 points. They are shooting just under 50 percent from the floor, but have really struggled under the boards with just 32.3 rebounds a game.
The players to watch in this one are Tim Hardaway Jr. and Trey Burke. Hardaway leads the team in scoring with 17.2 points a game, while Burke is the second-leading scorer with an average of 11 points and is adding a team-high 4.2 assists. [soliloquy id=”82219″]
Virginia is also off to a 5-1 start SU and a profitable 3-1 ATS. Defense has been the strong suit so far for the Cavaliers as they are holding their opponents to just 45.3 points a game so it is little wonder that the total has stayed ‘under’ in all four of their games that had a posted line.
Mike Scott has been an absolute stud so far with an average of 14.8 points and 10 rebounds a game while shooting 52.6 percent from the field. Joe Harris has also been a key contributor with 11.7 points a game and extremely deadly from the foul line; hitting 91.3 percent of his attempts.
Stick with the Cavaliers as a home underdog in this one as they find a way to keep Hardaway in check to grind out the win.
The Pick: Virginia 58 vs. Michigan 55

I guess out rebounding memphis by 13 and duke by 4 as well as ucla by seven, all of whom have a significant size advantages counts as “struggling on the boards”. Good work with the research.
