NCAA Basketball Betting – Commodores out for revenge against Wildcats

US sportsbook odds (US sportsbook reviews) for Saturday’s SEC showdown between Kentucky and Vanderbilt will be close as the Commodores are still unbeaten at home, and the Wildcats are coming off a tough overtime win on the road. Vanderbilt, meanwhile, may be battling fatigue from a midweek game.

Kentucky vs Vanderbilt odds – Saturday, February 20, 6:00 PM ET

The No.2 Wildcats (25-1, 10-1) escaped with an 81-75 overtime win at Mississippi State on Tuesday, and they got big performances from their best players. John Wall had 18 points, 10 boards and eight assists with three steals and a pair of blocks, and he had just three turnovers. DeMarcus Cousins had 19 points and 14 boards, while Patrick Patterson added 19 points and 10 boards for the Wildcats, who outrebounded Mississippi State 49-29. The Wildcats shot a miserable 4-of-24 from the three-point line, but with their big-time trio putting them on their back, Kentucky showed why they’re one of the sportsbook favorites for the Final Four.

Prior to Thursday’s game at Ole Miss, the No.17 Commodores (19-5, 8-2) got 18 points from an unlikely source in a 77-69 win at home over LSU as Lance Goulbourne provided a spark. Goulbourne got 26 minutes as Andre Walker is still out with a shoulder injury, and he made good on the time with his 18 points and nine rebounds. Jermaine Beal came up with 17 points for the Commodores, who won this game at the foul line.Sports Betting at the Sportsbook Vanderbilt went 31-of-43 from the charity stripe, while LSU was only 14-of-16. The Commodores also had eight blocks on the day.

Vanderbilt could be the favorites at Memorial Gymnasium, where they are 13-0 this season and they’ve won 18 in a row overall. The Wildcats have lost five of their last six at Vanderbilt, and six of 10 overall, but one of those wins came on January 30th in Lexington, when Kentucky won 85-72 on the back of another double-double for Cousins, who had 21 points and 10 boards. The Wildcats shot 12-of-23 from three-point range and outrebounded the Commodores 39-21, and there’s been no one this season who could keep the Wildcats on the boards. This will be huge for the Commodores if they want to pull out a win over Kentucky, and the task will be made even tougher without Walker back in the lineup. Wall also needs to be better with the ball, as he had nine assists in the first win over Vanderbilt, but he also had seven of the 15 Kentucky turnovers. Look for the Wildcats to go back to Cousins and Patterson on the inside, time and time again, against a Vanderbilt team that could be tired from Thursday’s game.
