The Vols are always a heartbreak bet because of their lousy free throw shooting. They let teams stay in the game and that might happen in this one too.
The Aztecs might have broken some bubble dreams by taking the Mountain West Conference tournament in somewhat impressive fashion. They were fourth in the regular season but beat UNLV in Vegas when it mattered most and delivered New Mexico one of only two conference losses this year.
This team is led by forward Kawhi Leonard who led the team in scoring and rebounding and was just a hair under a double-double. Only 6’6″ he had an amazing 21 boards in the conference final.
The Aztecs have just enough size to stand toe to toe with Tennessee and they will need a solid effort from their frontcourt players to stymie Wayne Chism.
