NCAA Basketball Sports Betting Four Play

BetUS NCAA Basketball Sports Betting Matchup:
Miami Hurricanes (7-3 SU, 4-3 ATS) at St. John’s Red Storm (9-2 SU, 3-2-1 ATS)
Madison Square Garden, New York – Noon ET

Here are some of the NCAA basketball sports betting trends as they relate to this matchup:

* MIA has won five of its last seven games SU
* MIA has lost five of its last six road games SU
* MIA has played four of its last six road games OVER the total  * STJ has won nine of its last ten home games SU
* MIA has covered four of the last five meetings
* STJ has won six of the last nine meetings SU
* MIA has covered five of the last six meetings as the road team

St. John’s has suffered some attrition; injuries to Anthony Mason Jr. (out for year) and Malik Boothe (out for two weeks) slow them down, though front court bruiser Justin Burrell is back with a mask after busting his face up. In Boothe’s absence, though, there is no real point guard, and that will leave them vulnerable to the Miami backcourt, which of course includes Jack McClinton (17 ppg), who is coming off back-to-back games of 20 points or more. Miami wants some redemption; the ‘Canes committed 22 turnovers in their loss to Clemson.

Our PREDICTION: MIAMI BY 14

BetUS NCAA Basketball Sports Betting Matchup:

Washington State Cougars (8-3, 4-5 ATS) at LSU Tigers (9-1 SU, 2-1 ATS)
Pete Maravich Assembly Center, Baton Rouge, LA – 2 PM ET
Here are some of the NCAA basketball sports betting trends as they relate to this matchup:

* WSU has covered two of its last six games
* WSU has won eight of its last 11 games SU
* WSU has played six of its last eight games UNDER the total
* WSU has won 16 of its last 23 road games SU
* WSU has played seven of its last eight road games UNDER the total
* LSU has won nine of its last ten games SU
* LSU has won its last five home games SU

The big tests have not been there for LSU, which is in the process of rebounding under Trent Johnson. Tasmin Mitchell has been useful coming back from injury (13 ppg, 6.8 rpg), which is important. LSU had life and death with McNeese State recently, which is not a good sign. Washington State centers its game on defense, allowing just 33.5% from the field and 48 points a game. They will try to slow things down here. There’s an intriguing matchup in the middle between LSU’s Chris Johnson (2.5 blocks per game) and Wazzou’s Aron Baynes (63% shooter). LSU will have a narrow escape here, but won’t cover.

Our PREDICTION: LSU BY 2

BetUS NCAA Basketball Sports Betting Matchup:
Alabama-Birmingham Blazers (8-3 SU, 5-6 ATS) at Louisville Cardinals (7-2 SU, 4-5 ATS)
Freedom Hall, Louisville – 4 PM ET

Here are some of the NCAA basketball sports betting trends as they relate to this matchup:

* UAB has covered two of its last seven games
* UAB has won four of its last five games SU
* UAB has played nine of its last 13 road games OVER the total
* LOU has covered 16 of its last 24 games
* LOU has won five of its last six games SU
* LOU has played nine of its last 13 games UNDER the total
* LOU has covered one of its last five home games
* LOU has won nine of its last ten home games SU
* UAB has covered six of the last eight meetings
* Four of the last six meetings have gone UNDER the total

UAB is not a deep team, with just six scholarship players on its roster. This is essentially a four-guard offense, with only one starter over 6’5″. Samardo Samuels has delivered as a freshman big man for Louisville, averaging 15 points and shooting 55%. But we’re concerned with Louisville’s ability to put away opponents. They struggled greatly against Ole Miss, and lost to Minnesota and Western Kentucky. The Blazers are a scrappy bunch, having won at Arizona and Old Dominion (possible at-large NCAA team). With shooters like the dynamic Robert Vaden (19.4 ppg, 3.6 threes per game) and Paul Delaney (58.6%), they can do enough to hang in there.

Our PREDICTION: LOUISVILLE BY 7

BetUS NCAA Basketball Sports Betting Matchup:
West Virginia Mountaineers (9-2 SU, 4-4 ATS) at Ohio State Buckeyes (9-0 SU, 4-4 ATS)
Value City Arena, Columbus, O – 4 PM ET

Here are some of the NCAA basketball sports betting trends as they relate to this matchup:

* WV has won five of its last six games SU
* WV has covered two of its last six road games
* WV has played seven of its last 10 road games OVER the total
* OSU has won its last 14 games SU
* OSU has won covered nine of its last 14 games

We respect the West Virginia shooters, and we know that Ohio State forward David Lightly is out with a foot injury, but after scoring 19 points against NC-Asheville (last year’s opening NIT opponent), it looks like blue-chip freshman center B.J. Mullens, who’s been brought along slowly, may be about to make a move. He joins Dallas Lauderdale (3.3 blocks/game) to form a potentially dominant front line. Ohio State has wins over Miami, Notre Dame and Butler already; West Virginia is still waiting for its signature win. It won’t be here.

Our PREDICTION: OHIO STATE BY 10
