The Kansas State Wildcats will try and extend their current winning streak to five games tonight when they take on the Texas Longhorns, who have dropped two of their last three. Game time for this Big 12 matchup from Austin is set for 9 p.m. and it will be broadcast nationally on ESPN.

Kansas State continued to build a strong postseason resume with an 80-70 victory over No.21 Missouri this past Saturday as a 4 ½-point home favorite. It was the Wildcats fourth straight win to run their overall record to 20-9 straight-up and 10-13 against the spread. They are now tied for fourth-place in the Big 12 standings at 8-6 SU.

Jacob Pullen is Kansas State’s leading scorer with 19.7 points a game and Rodney McGruder is averaging 11.2 points and a team-high 6.2 rebounds a game. The Wildcats are shooting 43.6 percent from the field and 37.8 percent from three-point range. They are averaging 73 points and 38 rebounds a game.

Texas will most likely drop a few spots in the latest polls after losing to Colorado 91-89 this past Saturday as a 6 ½-point road favorite. The loss dropped the Longhorns to 24-5 SU and 17-7 ATS. They are now tied with Kansas atop conference at 12-2 SU, but own the tiebreaker with a previous 74-63 over the Jayhawks.

Four players are scoring in double-figures for Texas led by Jordan Hamilton’s 18.8 points a game. Tristan Thompson is the second leading scorer with 12.8 points and tied with Hamilton for the lead in rebounds with 7.5 a game. Texas is averaging 76 points a game and ranked fifth in the nation in rebounds with 41 a game.

It is doubtful that Kansas State will be able to come away with the outright win on the road, but stick with the Wildcats to keep things close enough to cover.
