The St. John’s Red Storm will look to maintain their momentum heading into next week’s Big East Conference Tournament with a victory over the Seton Hall Pirates this Thursday night. Tip-off from the Prudential Center is set for 7 p.m. and the game will be broadcast nationally on ESPN2.

St. John’s established itself as the hottest team in the Big East with six straight wins including victories over three ranked opponents. The Red Storm most recently knocked-off No. 19 Villanova 81-68 as a 6 ½-point road underdog. They are now 19-9 straight-up overall (14-13 against the spread) and tied with Louisville for third-place in the conference at 11-5 SU.

This team has emerged as a legitimate power behind the play of Dwight Hardy, who is averaging 17.9 points a game. He is joined by Justin Brownlee, who is second in scoring with 12.1 points a game, and D.J. Kennedy, who is averaging 10.5 points and a team-high six rebounds. The Red Storm are shooting 45.7 percent from the field and averaging 70 points a game.

Seton Hall is riding a three-game losing streak including a 60-48 loss to No.7 Notre Dame as a 10-point road underdog this past Saturday. The Pirates have lost 11 of their last 14 games to fall to 11-17 SU overall and 12-14 ATS. They are the best of the worst in the Big East with a 5-11 SU record in conference play.

Jeremy Hazell leads the team in scoring with 18.5 points a game and Herb Pope leads in rebounds with 8.2. Seton Hall is averaging 66 points and 36 rebounds while shooting just 40.5 percent from the floor and 28.4 percent from three-point range.

The Pirates are actually 3-2 SU in the last five meetings including a 59-50 win last season, but these are two entirely different teams this time around. Ride the Red Storm all the way in this game with a dominating win on the road.
