It is certainly not a surprise that the Ohio State Buckeyes are in this title tilt, but not many people would have expected to see Penn State as their opponent. The Buckeyes will be a number one seed in the NCAA Tournament, but will Penn State make it to the tournament without a win in this game? The bracketologists are in disagreement as to exactly where Penn State stands. There is no doubt that the Nittany Lions would love to win this one and cement their spot in the tournament, but this is the top ranked team in the country for a reason. This should be a good one!

The Penn State Nittany Lions picked up a huge win over the Michigan State Spartans on Saturday afternoon. Talor Battle was absolutely magnificent in that game. Battle scored 25 points, including 12 points in a two minute span early in the second half. The Nittany Lions took control of the game during Battle’s amazing spurt, and they never looked back the rest of the way.

Another huge key for the Nittany Lions in the win Saturday was the production from Tim Frazier. Frazier put up 22 points on 9 out of 13 shooting from the floor. When Frazier has a big game, it is much tougher for opponents to key in on Talor Battle. The Nittany Lions won’t want to get into a track meet with Ohio State, and I fully expect them to try their best to slow this game down.

Ohio State beat Michigan for the third time this year on Saturday afternoon. The Buckeyes made a big run in the middle of the second half to put away a game Wolverines squad. Jon Diebler continued his recent terrific play, and he led the Buckeyes with 16 points against Michigan. Jared Sullinger scored 14 points and grabbed 13 rebounds. Deshaun Thomas came off the bench to score nine points.

The Buckeyes clearly are a confident bunch right now, and they have a high quality player at every position. Ohio State plays solid defense, and they do a very good job keeping their opponent off the offensive glass. On the offensive end, the Buckeyes have all kinds of weapons. Ohio State is one of the best shooting teams in the nation.

The Buckeyes can almost assuredly wrap up the number one overall seed in the NCAA Tournament if they win this game.

Under is 8-3 in PENST last 11 neutral site games.
Over is 5-2-1 in OHIOS last 8 neutral site games.
OHIOS are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 Sun. games.

The Pick: Penn State might be fighting for their tournament lives, and I expect them to play very hard. The Buckeyes will likely have a big advantage on the boards, and Sullinger is a tough matchup for the Nittany Lions.

I think the Nittany Lions make this respectable, but I believe the Buckeyes will win the Big Ten Conference Championship Game.

Prediction: Ohio State 68 Penn State 59
