The Ohio State Buckeyes are quietly 14-0 and ranked #2 in the country. Most Buckeye fans have paid very little attention to this team while football season is going on, but this young Buckeyes team is very good. The Iowa Hawkeyes have a new coach and a different system and they do appear to be slowly improving this year.
Ohio State opened Big Ten play with a 18 point victory at Indiana on Friday. The Buckeyes have some great talent on the wing in the form of William Buford and David Lighty. Jon Diebler is one of the best shooters in the nation. The difference maker is down low though, because Jared Sullinger is dominating the glass and providing that inside scoring threat the Buckeyes have lacked in recent years. The Buckeyes are a very good shooting team, but they also play solid defense. 
Iowa lost to Illinois in their Big Ten opener on Wednesday. The Hawkeyes are 5-3 at home so far this season. Matt Gatens has struggled with his shot all year, and this team really needs him to get it going. Jaryd Cole is a good rebounder down low, and he might help neutralize Sullinger a little bit. Eric May and Bryce Cartwright are two talented youngsters for this Hawkeyes squad. Iowa has been good on the glass this year, but their offense hasn’t been efficient.
The Buckeyes are bound to lose a game one of these days, but I don’t think it will be tonight. Iowa is playing at a faster pace this year, and I think the value is on the over in this game.
