ATS Matchup Insight | CP Insider Gambling Preview

Their lone loss is to a very good Memphis team and I am not sure the Tigers get them in the rematch if Marcus Smart is not under the weather.

Oklahoma State

This is another chance for Ok State to prove themselves, especially Smart who will have a great matchup.

They will need more than just their ace to win this one in Vegas.

There are other players than Marcus Smart on the Cowboys, some very good ones too like guards Markel Brown, LeBryan Nash and Phil Forte who combine for 40ppg and make up the best collection of perimeter player maybe anywhere in the country.

The Cowboys don’t get a ton of production inside but the combination of Michael Cobbins and Kamari Murphy are willing to put in the work.

The Cowboys have been good against the number at home and on the road – a combined 3-0 – but in neutral sites they are just 1-3 ATS.

I am not sure what you can read into that but its there for consumption. This is a good matchup for the Cowboys and if both teams play their best they will prevail and should cover.

Colorado

Like OSU the Buffs have only lost one game, their first game of the year against Baylor, a team the Cowboys are going to eventually run into.

Since then they have rattled off 10 straight wins including a nice win over Harvard, a road victory over Colorado State, and best of them all a victory over Kansas, another team OSU will see later.

This Buffs team is probably the second best in the PAC 12 and is looking to continue to raise their national profile.

The Buffs have their own star player at the point in Spencer Dinwiddie, a bigger guard who can fill up a stat sheet. He and Askia Booker make up a potent backcourt duo but where these teams differ is that Colorado depends on production up front.

Springy post Josh Scott is second in scoring and tops in rebounds and forwards Xavier Johnson and Wesley Gordon give the Buffs a great shot at dominating on the boards.

Even though there is a #24 next to Colorado’s name this team is still being underrated which partly explains the very strong early 7-3 ATS record.

I always like the underdogs to come out a little more hungry in neutral court battle and I expect this one to go down to the wire with the Buffs getting a chance to win it late.

Spread Pick: Colorado +6.5
O/U Pick: N/A
Score Prediction: Colorado 74 – Oklahoma State 70
