Sweet Shooting Curry, No. 21 Davidson, Host Florida Atlantic

The Florida Atlantic Owls (3-1 SU, 2-0 ATS, 0-2 O/U) have won two straight games in the BetUS Sportsbook and are coming off a thorough 77-59 win over University of Missouri Kansas City on Saturday.

The 21st-ranked Davidson Wildcats (3-1 SU, 1-0 ATS, 1-0 O/U) bounced back nicely from their close 82-78 road loss at Oklahoma, beating Winthrop 97-70 at home on Friday as point guard Stephen Curry once again showed why he is a preseason All-American this year.

Curry now playing point guard for the first time in his career dished out a career-high 13 assists and scored a team-high 30 points to lead Davidson to an easy win.

“I guess he’s really struggling at handling point guard, huh?” head coach Bob McKillop joked.

Three days after Curry scored a career-high 44 points in a loss at No. 12 Oklahoma, the nation’s leading scorer made five treys while committing just three turnovers.

“So far it’s been working,” Curry said. “It’s clicking; our chemistry is growing every game. We know where we are on the court and where everybody likes the ball. It comes from practice and working really hard.”

Senior center Andrew Lovedale added a career-high 20 points and grabbed 15 rebounds in helping the Wildcats to their 18th straight win at home.

The Owls are off to their best start in 20 years and moved to 3-1 for the first time in their 15-year Division I history with its convincing win over UMKC.

Freshman point guard Shavar Richardson led the Owls with 18 points while junior shooting guard Xavier Perkins added 17 points and seven rebounds for Florida Atlantic.

Florida Atlantic +22 -110
Davidson -22 -110

Analysis: Despite the fact that they have arguably the best player in all of college basketball on their roster in Stephen Curry, the Davidson Wildcats are not going to cover the spread high in this matchup against a hungry Florida Atlantic team.

Take the Owls to cover the spread despite losing the game.
