Minnesota

This is a very good team with no noticeable weaknesses really.  It should be a very good battle and it is possible they are the best team in the league when all is said and done.

Minnesota could be getting better too as power forward Trevor Mbakwe numbers have room to grow up to his usual standards.

The backcourt of Hollins and Hollins has been great, showing much more maturity with both players more experienced as starters.  When they need a spark this team can also turn to the super athletic Rodney Williams.

His energetic dunks get this team going and he is back to producing out of his natural small forward spot.

If you were high on Minnesota from the very beginning you should have a nice bankroll thanks to their 10-4 ATS record.  That includes a perfect 3-0 on the road, where they thrashed Illinois by 17 points Wednesday night.

This team is feeling good and as long as they get off to a decent start should be in this one all game long.

Indiana

The Hoosiers started the season at the top of most of the polls and remained there until being upset by in state upstart Butler.  Since that game the Hoosiers have won all 5 games and are returning home after a two game roadie to start Big Ten play.  Iowa played them closer than expected but they routed Penn State on Monday. They are finally getting to the meaty part of their schedule.

Center Cody Zeller gets a lot of press but it is the rest of the Hoosiers lineup that makes this team so dangerous.  Guard Victor Oladipo continues to grow his offensive game while playing top notch defense and forward Christian Watford has picked things up after a slow start.

Pretty much everyone they put on the floor contributes something whether it is fuard Jordan Hulls bombing away or speedy freshman Yogi Ferrell slicing through the defense.

Indiana also has a sweet ATS record at 9-4.  Two of those losses are in the last three games making them just 1-1 ATS in the Big Ten.  A bit of lustre has fallen off these guys over the last month but they are still very good.

They will be looking to defend their home court fiercely and make a statement about the pecking order of the conference.
