NCAAB Betting Navy @ Villanova

The Villanova Wildcats (10-1 SU, 4-4 ATS, 1-7 O/U) have won two consecutive games in the BetUS Sportsbook and are back on the court tonight after final exams when it hosts the Navy Midshipmen (8-3 SU) tonight. The Wildcats are coming off a solid 70-59 win over Big Five Philadelphia city rival LaSalle back on Dec. 14, covering the spread for BetUS NCAA college basketball sports betting backers as a 9-point road favorite in the BetUS Sportsbook.

Villanova won despite getting a season-low 9 points from senior forward Dante Cunningham who is averaging 16.7 points per game.

“That really concerned us,” Villanova coach Jay Wright said. “We hadn’t been in that position before.”

Senior guard Corey Stokes scored 18 points while junior point guard Scottie Reynolds tried to break out of his season-long slump with 13 points.

Villanova held La Salle to 37.5 percent shooting while forcing 15 turnovers.

“I think our defensive pressure helped us,” Stokes said. “We forced turnovers and that allowed us to go run. Coach told us to keep it up.”

The Midshipmen are coming off a 68-63 road loss at Canisius on Saturday as senior guard Kaleo Kina led Navy with 21 points and sophomore guard Romeo Garcia chipped in 11 points.

Navy has lost two of their last three games following a seven-game winning streak while Kina leads all Patriot League players, averaging 20.8 points per game.

Navy head coach Billy Lange was an assistant at Villanova under Wildcats head coach Jay Wright from 2001-04.
