Oklahoma Sooners vs. Texas Longhorns Preview

On the season Oklahoma is 7-4 ATS and they have an O/U record of 3-7 and Texas is 8-4 ATS and they have an Under record of 2-5.

This season Texas is 8-1 at home and Oklahoma is 1-1 on the road.

In their last games Oklahoma beat Baylor 73-63 and Texas beat Texas Tech 7-0-61.

There is a big showdown in the Big 12 this Monday night when the 11th ranked Texas Longhorns host the 18th ranked Oklahoma Sooners. The Sooners are the road betting underdog, but they have won 3 straight and knocked off a ranked Baylor team in their last game.

Both teams are 1-0 in conference play and every game in the Big 12 will be key since it is loaded with half of the teams currently in the top 25.

The Longhorns have won 2 straight after their surprise home loss to Stanford and they have one of the best defenses in the nation.

Isaiah Taylor leads Texas in scoring at 13.3 ppg, but UT is a balanced and deep squad that has 4 players averaging in double figures and 7 averaging at least 6 ppg.

Last season Oklahoma won both games facing Texas.

Buddy Hield and Isaiah Cousins are the guard duo that leads the Sooners in scoring and each is shooting at least 38% from beyond the 3-point arc. If Texas can play solid perimeter D and keep these guys in check they have a great chance to win this game. However, stopping this duo will be hard to do, as in the conference opener they combined for 39 points.

Texas won their conference opener, but they only shot 38.5% from the floor and they have to shoot the rock better tonight.

OU won at Texas last season and they have not won in 2 straight seasons since the 2001 2002 seasons.
