It isn’t exactly the football rivalry but Big Ten action still brings out the passion in teams like Iowa and Michigan. The Wolverines have been the better team all year and they own the rivalry with Iowa right now, winning six of the last seven meetings and three straight.
More importantly, they’ve beaten the spread against Iowa in both matchups this season, winning by 14 at home on January 30 and edging the Hawkeyes in overtime on the road after that .
Normally, Michigan’s mediocre 13-13 record against the spread this season would scare me. But, given its success against Iowa already this year and that Anthony Tucker, the Hawkeyes’ second-leading scorer, is suspended, Michigan should get the job done.
