The Bulldogs have not been as dominant in the WCC as they have been in the past this season – heck they have three losses. [ad-4468020]

Gonzaga

But with a 1.5 game lead with just two games to play they can wrap up another regular season title with a win over Pacific who has returned to conference this season. Their finale at St. Mary’s could be a thriller but odds are it won’t really decide anything this season.

Gonzaga is the rare team that is pretty balanced in their inside and outside production. Top guards Kevin Pangos and Gary Bell Jr average 26ppg while inside players Sam Dower and Przemek Karnowski average 25. They have an experienced and deep lineup with some nice useable pieces off the bench. One guy they are looking to get more from is Gerard Coleman who averaged 13ppg at Providence.

The Zags have lost their last two games and finish with two more on the road so they are not exactly coasting to the finishing line. This one could be a great buying opportunity though because of the situation and opponent. On talent this is still by far the best team in the league so getting them at a good price is a must go.

Pacific

The Tigers were not expected to compete in their return to the WCC this season. They got one spirited win over BYU to hang their hat on but other than that there has not been much to be excited about. The reasons for their struggles are simple, this is just not a very good defensive team – 295th in the country. Offensively they are OK even though they have no dominating scorers.

The Tigers have three players in double figures – all averaging 11ppg. The most versatile is forward Tony Gill who shoots better than 50% from the field but is also dangerous from deep while leading the team in rebounds. He never had a chance to get his game going the last time these two played due to fouls. He wasn’t alone though as the entire team shot just 31% in a 22 point loss.

The Tigers may be catching the Zags at the exact right moment coming off back to back losses but I don’t think they have the talent to exploit. The last time these two team met the Tigers were dominated and I don’t see how they are going to shrink that margin down to single digits in this one.

Spread Pick: Gonzaga -6
O/U Pick: N/A
Score Prediction: Gonzaga 77 – Pacific 61
