The Kentucky Wildcats and the Ohio State Buckeyes will square off in what should be one of the best Sweet Sixteen games of the week. Kentucky is extremely young, but they have some of the most talent in the country. Ohio State has a mixture of youth and experience, and the Buckeyes are playing great basketball right now.
The Buckeyes have had the stronger season, but this Kentucky team is capable of beating anyone if they play their best basketball. This should be a great battle!
The Kentucky Wildcats are led by freshman point guard Brandon Knight. Knight is just a freshman, but he is already a star. Knight carried the team to its win over West Virginia last Saturday. He is the team’s leading scorer at 17 points per game, and he also is a great passer. Terrence Jones and Doron Lamb are also fabulous freshman players for the Wildcats.
Jones averages 16 points and 9 boards per game. Lamb is the team’s best shooter, and he knocks down 47% of his three-point attempts. Down low Josh Harrellson is a real load, and I expect him to get the assignment of guarding Jared Sullinger quite a bit on Friday night. He will need to stay out of foul trouble and try to deny the ball well in the low post.
Kentucky is very capable of putting together a great game. 
The Ohio State Buckeyes have looked terrific most of the year, and their first two NCAA Tournament performances have been fantastic.
The Buckeyes won’t have a home game this time, so they will lose that advantage. Jared Sullinger is a beast down low and he averages 17 points and 10 rebounds per game. The factor that makes Ohio State so difficult to defend is they have shooters all over the court at all times. Jon Diebler is shooting 50% on three-pointers this year. He is an amazing 110 out of 220 from beyond the arc.
William Bufford and David Lighty are both shooting 44% from three-point land as well. Aaron Craft is a freshman guard, and he’ll have a big assignment of guarding Brandon Knight.
The Buckeyes don’t need Craft to score a lot, but they do need solid ball handling and defense from him.
Ohio State is a great offensive team, and they have multiple weapons on the floor at all times.
