Wichita has won 23 straight against the Braves.

Bradley

Bradley is trying to find some sort of identity for themselves. They have yet to play a game with their announced starting line up from the beginning of the season. That will be the same story again come Wednesday as they will be without Junior G Warren Jones.

G Warren Jones has been the spark plug for the Braves thus far this season. Jones is averaging 14.6 points a game and 3.8 rebounds. He has missed the Braves last 7 seven games with a stress fracture in his foot. Over those 7 games, Bradley has gone 3-4 with only one of those wins being against a quality opponent.

PG Tramique Sutherland will need to get out of his slump if Bradley hopes to have any chance on Wednesday. Sutherland has scored just 17 points over the last two games for Braves. He was scoring 15.3 points in his 1st 4 games he played since returning from injury prior to the previous two games.

Bradley has lost 6 straight road games and 8 straight road games against Top 25 teams.

Wichita State

The Shockers have been making things close over the last 4 games. After an overtime win over Hawaii, they slipped up against George Washington 60-54. Since that loss, Wichita has won 2 in a row against conference opponents, but they have both been nail biters. They’ll look to get back to blowing out opponents Wednesday night when they welcome in Bradley to Wichita.

Holding a 24 game home winning streak, the Shockers will turn to Junior G Ron Baker and Senior F Darius Carter in hopes of pushing that to 25. Baker struggled from the field against Illinois State, but is still averaging 16.9 points a game to go along with 4.7 rebounds. Baker has scored 15 points and 23 points in the Shockers past two wins after struggling mightily vs George Washington.

Senior F Darius Carter has contributed with his great free throw shooting and rebounding. Carter went 6 of 9 from the free throw line last game, and grabbed 4 rebounds. Carter is averaging 11.5 points a game and 6.1 rebounds a game.

The Shockers last lost in the MVC came in 2013 when they lost to Creighton in the conference tournament.

NCAA Basketball Odds:

  • Braves are 9-23 ATS in their last 32 Wednesday games.
  • Braves are 7-19 ATS in their last 26 road games vs. a team with a winning home record.
  • Shockers are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games vs. a team with a losing S.U. record.
  • Shockers are 8-2 ATS in their last 10 vs. Missouri Valley.
  • Braves are 0-6 ATS in the last 6 meetings in Wichita St.

Free 4* NCAA Basketball Pick: Wichita State -19

The Shockers are in need of a confidence booster blow out win. The Bradley Braves could be just what the doctor ordered on Wednesday night.

Wichita State 82, Bradley 52

Expect Wichita State to come out blazing from the opening tip en route to a lopsided victory.
