Notre Dame

The Irish are coming off a loss to Syracuse at home and will be looking to get back on track at Louisville.

The Cards are still adjusting to losing one of their key cogs and this should be a fun tangle between top offensive and defensive teams.

If Notre Dame can get this game into the 70s they should definitely win but that is a tough feat. The last time these two teams met was in a Big East semifinal a couple of year’s ago. ND came us short in that one, a very low scoring affair.

Notre Dame has shortened up the bench of late as they head down the stretch. In the loss to the Orange Jerian Grant and Pat Connaughton both played all 40 minutes and Steve Vasturia played 39. That is going to be tough to repeat against Louisville.

What they will need is for Grant to be able to score consistently and for the team to play solid defense so that the Cardinals cannot set up their pressure as easily.

Louisville

The Cards seem to be moving past the whole Chris Jones thing pretty well.

They have won their last three games and absolutely destroyed Florida State in Tallahassee. Jones was a key but he is gone and the team is looking forward. They have a very challenging close to the season with Notre Dame and Virginia visiting.

They can beat both of those teams but I do not think this is a championship calibre club. They might be deeper than you think though and that can pay off.

Montrezl Harrell is a nice player but I am kinda getting tired of all the screaming he does on the court.

His numbers have not grown this season they way they were supposed to and sometimes he looks short out there. Terry Rozier on the other hand has really blossomed into the team’s leading scorer.

I love the variety of his game and him against Grant is a nice bit of action to watch.

NCAAB Betting Trends

  • Under is 18-8 in ND last 26 Wed. games.
  • Under is 9-2 in LOU last 11 home games.

  • Over is 10-1 in the last 11 meetings.

NCAAB Betting Prediction:  Notre Dame +5

This is not a good matchup for Notre Dame but I think they can keep it close because the Cardinals don’t score that much.

NCAAB Score Prediction:  Louisville 67 – Notre Dame 64

I just worry they won’t have enough in the tank late in the game.
