Kansas still has the best odds to win the Big Dance and they are the lone #1 seed remaining.

Kansas +150

Kansas has not been tested in the Big Dance and they have the easiest road to the championship game facing 11th seed VCU in the Elite 8 and the winner of the Southeast Region, which is the weakest region, in the Final 4. The Morris twins have been unstoppable in the paint and the guards are playing well. The Jayhawks’ defense has not allowed any of their 3 opponents in the tournament to shoot over 38.5% from the floor.

Kentucky +450

Kentucky beat top-seed Ohio State in their last game, which was their first ever win over OSU in their NCAA tourney history. Things do not get any easier facing North Carolina for the right to go the Final 4. Freshman star G Brandon Knight did not have the best game against Ohio State and he and F Josh Harrellson will have to play well against UNC. The Wildcats are a very athletic team and they held Ohio State to only 32.8% shooting and if they continue that defense they have a legit shot to win the title.

North Carolina +500

UNC crushed Marquette for the right to play in the Elite 8 and now face a Kentucky team riding high with a ton of confidence after upsetting Ohio State. The Tar Heels have the best rebounding team in the nation and F Harrison Barnes (15.5 ppg) has been on fire in the Big Dance scoring at least 20 points in all 3 tourney games. Forwards John Henson (10.1 rpg) and Tyler Zeller (7.1 rpg) have been monsters on the boards.

Connecticut +500

Is any team hotter than UCONN? They face Arizona in the Elite 8 and they have got great play from their star G in Kemba Walker, who has scored 33 and 36 points in the last 2 tournament games. The Huskies will go as far as Walker and Jeremy Lamb take them, as UCONN is not a very deep team.

Florida +750

Florida is a very deep team that has 4 guys averaging in double figures and they face surprising Butler for the right to go the Final 4. The Gators can shoot the 3 and their inside defense will be key, especially if they can get by Butler, as they will likely face Kansas and the Morris twins in the Final 4.

Arizona +800

Arizona has a ton of confidence, as in their last 2 Big Dance games they have taken out Texas and top-seed and defending champion Duke. In the win over Duke they won by 16 points, shot 54% from the field and 60% from beyond the 3-pt arc, and star F Derrick Williams was a stud going for 32 points and 13 boards. The face a red-hot UCONN team in the Elite 8 and they have the athletes that may create problems for the Huskies’ duo of Jeremy Lamb and Kemba Walker.

Butler +1200

Butler is on another Cinderella run and they face Florida in the Elite 8. The Bulldogs played great D in their Sweet 16 win over Wisconsin holding them to 30.4% shooting. G Shelvin Mack will have to continue his great play, but the Butler D is the key. They only rank 177th in the nation in rebounding and that is not good facing Florida and probably Kansas, that is if they can score another upset and beat the Gators.

Field (Any Other Team) +1200

The Field has to be VCU, as they are the last of the 8 teams in the Elite 8. The 11th seed Rams have scored 3 upsets in a row and can they make it 4 against top-seed Kansas? Unlikely. VCU’s offense has played well in the Big Dance, but they only rank 301st in the nation in rebounds per game while Kansas ranks 19th. G Bradford Burgess has been on fire in the last couple of games and the Rams will have to shoot lights out to score a HUGE upset over Kansas.
