On the season Marquette is 13-15-1 ATS and they have an Over/Under record of 16-12 and Miami is at 21-10-1 ATS and they have an Over/Under record of 12-17-1.

While the Hurricanes only shot 40% from the floor in their win over Illinois they played solid D and held the Fighting Illini to only 37.7% shooting.

Miami C Reggie Johnson (6.7 ppg 7 rpg), who is the team’s 2nd leading rebounder has a knee injury and is doubtful for tonight’s game.

Marquette will need solid games from the backcourt duo of Trent Lockett and Vander Blue, who combined for 42 points in the win over Butler. Blue had 29 points in the game and since the Golden Eagles do not have a lot of inside scoring he may have to have another big game. [ad-6571516]

Miami FW Shane Larkin and G Shane Larkin combined to score 27 points in the win over Illinois, but neither player shot the rock well. Luckily reserve G Rion Brown, who only averaged 6.5 ppg this season came in and played well scoring 21 points.

The Canes will have to play solid perimeter defense tonight and also hit the boards. They are a better rebounding team in terms of the stats, but they were out-rebounded in the Illinois game and without Johnson they may struggle on the glass.

Miami comes into this game hot, as they not only have won their 2 Big Dance games, but they ended the season winning their last 4 games including winning the ACC tournament.

In some trends for this East Region match up Marquette is 0-4-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall, 0-3-1 ATS in their last 4 games vs. a team with a winning S.U. record, and they have an Over record of 5-2 in their last 7 games.

Miami is 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall, 18-8-1 ATS in their last 27 games vs. a team with a winning S.U. record, and they have an Over record of 7-3 in their last 10 games.

Jason’s Pick: Miami has a much deeper team and they are more athletic and while Johnson will be missed the Canes will play better than they did against Illinois and they will win and cover.
