Duke Blue Devils vs. N.C. State Wolfpack Free Gambling Prediction & CBB Preview

Blue Devils vs Wolfpack CBB Basketball Spread/Handicapping

Duke is still among the few unbeaten teams in the nation but with forward Ryan Kelly injured their depth will be tested.  The Blue Devils have been eased into ACC play this season with easy victories against weak sister programs Wake Forest and Clemson.

Duke

Right now Duke and N.C. State are the only conference teams ranked in the top 25.

Duke is sitting there at the very top and this might be their stiffest challenge yet.

Even without Kelly in the lineup there is plenty of talent on this Duke team…they just aren’t nearly as deep, and will be asking others to take on more scoring specifically.  Odds are the extra playing time may fall in the hands of Josh Hairston who hasn’t been all that productive over 2 plus seasons on campus.

Still with an inside out duo of Mason Plumlee and Seth Curry no one should be feeling too bad for the Dookies.

Arizona just suffered their first loss leaving only Duke and Michigan as undefeated.  Usually these things go in cycles and this is probably the toughest challenge left on the Blue Devils calendar so the stage is set.  I know I regularly bang on the Duke program but if you are going to fade them at all this season now is the time.

N.C. State

People have been tearing down this team but they still have just two losses.  If they can beat Duke in this tilt between the league’s top two teams than they will be right where many thought they should be, even if its not a fair fight on Saturday.

This team is oozing with talent but they get a little ragged at times.  If C.J. Leslie outplays Plumlee then they will win going away and I don’t see that as a huge if. [ad-6571516]

This Wolfpack team is wicked deep.  6 players are averaging double figures with Leslie leading at close to 16.  Love the efficiency of this group too as they lead the nation in field goal shooting.  PG Lorenzo Brown can still be a little cavalier with the ball but luckily it is not affecting the offense too much.

I like their athleticism on the wings even if it primarily from inexperienced players.  Someone is going to have to step up big in this one.  Team efforts are great but someone has to take the lead.

After some early struggles the Wolfpack have turned things around and are playing at an elite level.  They have won 9 in a row and I think it was probably a good thing that they were pushed in their first league road game at Boston College.

They are just 7-6 against the number but have only been an underdog once.

It is the role that suits them best as they narrowly missed covering against the still undefeated Wolverines
