Kansas Jayhawks vs. Georgetown Hoyas Preview

On the season Kansas is 4-3 ATS and they have an O/U record of 4-2 and Georgetown is 2-1-1 ATS and they have an O/U record of 2-2.

This season Georgetown is 4-0 at home and this is Kansas’ first road game of the season.

In their last games Kansas beat Florida 71-65 and Georgetown beat Towson 78-46.

Kansas has won 5 straight after getting crushed by top-ranked Kentucky and in that streak they beat a ranked Michigan State team and a Florida squad that began the season ranked 7th in the nation. However, they are playing their first road game of the season tonight and are the 3-point underdog.

Georgetown began the season 4-0, but then lost 2 straight before righting their ship with an easy win over a weak Towson squad. They are undefeated at home this season and do have a win over a ranked team.

Georgetown has won 3 straight home games facing ranked non-conference teams, but the last win came back in 2010.

Last season at Kansas the Jayhawks easily beat the Hoyas 86-64.

Kansas has struggled with their shot in the last couple of games, but held their opponents to a FG% of under 38% in each game.

Perry Ellis leads the Jayhawks in scoring and 4th leading scorer Wayne Selden Jr. has upped his scoring as of late and scored 21 points in the win over Michigan State.

D’Vauntes Smith-Rivera is the leading scorer for the Hoyas this season averaging 14.7 ppg and in his last 4 games he is averaging 18.5 ppg. Joshua Smith is the 2nd leading scorer for the squad and leading rebounder and when he scores in double figures the Hoyas are undefeated this season (3-0).

Kansas may have to play good defense tonight facing a Georgetown squad that is shooting over 50% from the field as a team.

Georgetown is unranked, but you can be sure that will change if they can score the win over 10th rank Kansas tonight.

NCAAB Betting Trends

* Kansas is 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall.
* Kansas is 1-5 ATS in their last 6 road games.
* Georgetown is 8-2 ATS in their last 10 home games.
* Georgetown is 5-1-1 ATS in their last 7 non-conference games.
* Georgetown has an Under record of 6-0 in their last 6 home games.

4* Cappers NBA Free Pick

Georgetown has been solid at home this season and they are a good shooting team, but they will not get the W tonight. Kansas is a much more athletic team and they will play solid defense, but only covering the spread, but winning as well.
