Team records:
Duke: 25-4 SU, 17-10-1 ATS
Maryland: 21-7 SU, 15-9 ATS

The No. 4 Duke Blue Devils will look defend their one game ACC conference lead with a win over the No. 22 Maryland Terrapins on Wednesday at the Comcast Center in College Park, Maryland.

Duke holds a 106-60 advantage in the all-time series and has won six straight meetings and eight of the last 10 overall, including a 77-56 rout in Durham on February 13th.

Duke has won eight straight games including a 67-49 victory over the Virginia Cavaliers this past weekend. Kyle Singler finished with 21 points while Jon Scheyer, one of the ACC’s best guards ranking third in the conference in scoring (18.8 ppg) and fourth in assists (5.3 apg), went 8-of-14 from the field and 4-of-7 from three-point range netting 20 points in the win. The Blue Devils held Virginia to a meager 49 points on .314 shooting while demonstrating their ability to dominate offensively with an +18 point-scoring margin.

The team is averaging nearly 80 points per game (79.2), thanks in large part to the trio of Scheyer, Smith and Singler who are combining for 185 of the team’s 223 three-pointers to date.

As far as Maryland, they are just one game back behind Duke in the standings at 11-3 and have won five straight contests including a 104-100 double-overtime win over Virginia Tech last Saturday. Senior guard Greivis Vasquez, who ranks second in the ACC in scoring (19.5 ppg) and first in assists (6.4 apg), scored a career- high 41 points, grabbed seven rebounds and dished out six assists while Sean Mosely and Eric Hayes added 17 and 12 points, respectively. Hayes completed a double double with 10 assists.

The Terps are averaging 80.0 ppg on a solid .476 shooting while holding opponents to a conference best 67.2 ppg.

The Blue Devils have struggled on the road while Maryland has lost just once at the Comcast Center. The match up between Scheyer and Vasquez should be entertaining.
