The Gators are firing on all cylinders and will travel to the “eRUPPtion” zone on Saturday afternoon to take on the Kentucky Wildcats that look to preserve their perfect at home record.

Florida beat SEC foes Kentucky 7-68 back on February 5, and are coming is off their six straight win as they beat Georgia 71-62 in Gainesville their last time out. It s was anyone’s game, with Florida going into the locker room down 33-26 at the break. But the Gators beat back Georgia in the second for the win as they swept the Bulldogs including a win earlier this season, 104-91.

The Gators hammered the Bulldogs with three pointers, scoring 21 points from beyond the arc. Turnovers also made a difference with 13 giveaways for the Bulldogs.

Kenny Boynton scored a team-best for Florida with 18 points on 35 percent shooting in 36 minutes. Vernon Macklin chipped in with eight huge rebounds.

Meanwhile, Kentucky was tripped up snapping its two-game win streak, imploding in Fayetteville on February 23rd, being upset by the Razorbacks, 77-76, in overtime.

Brandon Knight, who recorded a team season high in field goals attempted with 23, led the Wildcats with 26 points while Josh Harrellson chipped in with a game-leading 14 rebounds.

This was an upset, a game the Wildcats were expected to win, but Arkansas pulled down 22 big offensive rebounds and that created a huge shooting gap, with 21 points of the Arkansas total coming from three-point range to less than 10 for Kentucky. A big problem for Kentucky was their 15 percent three point shooting, which was far below their 39 percent season average.

Since Rupp Arena opened, the Gators have won just six of the 35 games played between the two schools at this location. A victory by the Gators will secure an outright Eastern Division Championship and keep them in the hunt for their fifth overall SEC crown. Kentucky has not lost a game at home in the John Calipari era, winning 31 straight games.

CBB Betting Trends:

Under is 18-7 in FLA last 25 Sat. games.
KENTY are 2-6 ATS in their last 8 games overall.
KENTY are 2-6 ATS in their last 8 vs. Southeastern.
Over is 7-3-1 in KENTY last 11 Sat. games.

Matt’s Free Pick: Kentucky- Florida looked impressive taking down conference rival Georgia and now sit at 22-5, 1st in the SEC, while improving their conference record to 11-2. However, the Wildcats have been bought back to reality and a program like this – who has won more college basketball games than any program in America –always makes emotional rebounds.
