The Final Four matchups are set and betED.com has odds for the big games this weekend as the craziness of March Madness reaches a climax.

It’s hard not to like the Michigan State Spartans’ chances as they will enjoy home-court advantage playing at Ford Field in Detroit, where they’ll face the Connecticut Huskies on Saturday (6:07 pm ET, CBS).

But the Spartans will be up against a No. 1 seed in the Huskies, who are a 4.5-point favorite in betED.com Final Four Betting Odds. The over/under total is 135.

Michigan State made it to the Final with a 64-52 upset win over the Louisville Cardinals in Indianapolis on Sunday. The Spartans won as a 7-point underdog and the score went under the total of 137.5.

Connecticut held off a hard-charging Missouri Tigers team, winning 82-75 in the Elite Eight. Connecticut covered the 5.5-point spread, and the score went over the total of 152.

Michigan State will try to become the first team to win the title in its home state since the UCLA Bruins won the 1975 National Championship game in San Diego.

Since 1999, Michigan State has had the most Final Four appearances with five. UNC ranks second with four. UConn is tied for third with three.

Speaking of the North Carolina Tar Heels, they’re now the favorite in betED.com’s NCAA Championship Betting Odds, at -175. The Huskies are +225, while Villanova Wildcats are +500 and Michigan State is +550.

The Tar Heels face the Wildcats in the second Final Four matchup Saturday night (8:47 pm ET, CBS). North Carolina is an 8-point favorite and the total is 161.

Villanova scored 46 points in the second half and came away with a 78-76 upset over the No. 1-seed Pittsburgh Panthers in the Elite Eight. Villanova won the game as a 2-point underdog, and the score made it over the total of 141.

North Carolina defeated Oklahoma 72-60 as a 7-point favorite in the Elite Eight. The score went under the total of 163.5.

I’m not happy to see these teams in the Final Four, they totally ruined my bracket, and it would have been neat to have 3 Big East Teams in it. One thing you’ll notice, each team has great coaches (Michigan State – Tom Izzo, North Carolina – Roy Williams, Villanova – Jay Wright, and UCONN – Jim Calhoun).

There weren’t any major Cinderella teams this year, which really makes it a lot more interesting to root for when you have no affinity to any of the teams that are left.
