NBA Betting – Wizards vs. Knicks (Jan. 14)

Free pick and preview plus NBA betting odds and basketball lines for the matchup featuring the Washington Wizards and the New York Knicks…

Knicks Host Wizards in NBA Betting Action

The Washington Wizards (7-30 SU, 15-22 ATS, 14-21-2 O/U) are going from bad to worse BetUS NBA sports betting enthusiasts. Washington has dropped five consecutive games in the BetUS Sportsbook, failing to cover the spread in each of its last four. The New York Knicks (14-22 SU, 19-17 ATS, 14-22 O/U) may not exactly be juggernauts themselves, but they did manage to snap a three-game losing streak the last time they took the floor.

Tonight, both teams will be gunning for a victory in the Sportsbook when they battle at Madison Square Garden.

The Wizards lost to the Milwaukee Bucks 97-91 on Monday, failing to cover the spread for NBA sports bettors as a 3-point home underdog in the BetUS Sportsbook.

Reserve swingman Nick Young scored a team-high 30 points but all-star forward Caron Butler scored just six points on 2-for-13 shooting from the field.

Washington suffered their 12th defeat of the season when leading in the fourth quarter.

“Don’t you get the feeling like we’ve seen this movie before?” Washington interim coach Ed Tapscott said. “We’re like a writer with writer’s block. We can get the first couple of chapters written fairly efficiently and fairly well, but getting to the ending – we just can’t seem to write the correct ending.”

Antawn Jamison scored 25 points despite playing with a strained right knee.

“A day without Jamison would be a day without sunshine for me,” Tapscott said.

The Knicks got a team-high 24 points from forward David Lee who also added nine rebounds while also getting 20 points from forward Al Harrington as they surprised the New Orleans Hornets 101-95 on Monday night to easily cash in for BetUS NBA sports betting backers everywhere as 12-point road underdogs in the BetUS Sportsbook.

“This is an example of the way we need to play,” Knicks swingman Quentin Richardson said. “It shows when we play that way we can beat some of he best teams in the NBA.”

Washington Wizards +4½ -110
New York Knicks -4½ -110

Over 198 -110
Under 198 -110

Analysis: The New York Knicks are mediocre on most nights, but they play at such a fast pace and do have some guys that can put the ball in the hole on a fairly consistent basis, which is why I like them to win and cover the spread over the reeling Wizards who are still floundering in the worst way despite having two all-star-caliber forwards in Antawn Jamison and Caron Butler.

Take the Knicks to win and cover the spread in their second straight game, while sending the O/U total Over with their fast-paced offense and matador-like defense.
