NBA Weekend in the West – New Orleans vs. San Antonio

Just because it’s Super Bowl weekend it doesn’t mean that online betting fans can slack off and not try to find a couple of NBA winners.

I mean, the Super Bowl is the biggest online betting event in the world, but the NBA provides gem betting games almost everyday and especially on a weekend when the NBA schedulers try to fit in as many marquee games as possible.

Marquee games mean a lot of attention. That can be a good or bad thing for NBA betting fans.

Let’s hope that it’s a good thing this weekend!

Best Saturday NBA Betting Game

New Orleans Hornets vs. San Antonio Spurs: The Hornets and Spurs have similar straight-up records. San Antonio is 31 and 14 straight-up. They’ve gone 21-23-1 against the BetUS online betting spread and are worse at 9-14-1 at home, but they did just thump the Phoenix Suns on Thursday night by a score of 114 to 104.

The Spurs are easily one of the best teams in the NBA again. New Orleans isn’t too shabby having garnered a 28 and 14 straight-up record. They are 19-21-1 against the BetUS online sportsbook betting spread and have gone 9 and 11 against the spread on the road. So with neither team having a good reputation against the spread, which way is this game going to go? New Orleans will have to play on Friday night at home while the Spurs will get to rest. Not only that but the Hornets are 0 and 4 against the spread the last four times these two teams have met in San Antonio. The Spurs should cover in this game.

Pick: San Antonio Spurs at -5 ½ or lower in the BetUS online sportsbook.

Best Sunday NBA Betting Game

Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Detroit Pistons: Detroit is 25 and 19 straight-up, 19 and 25 against the BetUS online wagering spread, and 7 and 15 against the spread at home. The Cleveland Cavaliers are simply the best team against the spread in the NBA. Straight-up they aren’t too bad either going 35 and 9. Their record against the spread, 29 and 15, makes them an automatic bet in most NBA games. They’re definitely an automatic bet in this game because Detroit has to play Boston on Friday night before taking on Cleveland on Sunday. The question is at what online odds to bet the Cavs? Well, let’s hope that Boston loses and that Cleveland has to give up less than what we believe they should. If the BetUS odds makers work with us some, this could be a better online betting game on Sunday than the Super Bowl.

Pick: Cleveland Cavaliers at -4 ½ or lower in the BetUS online sportsbook.

Good Luck!
