NBA Weekend Action

The NBA always boasts terrific games for sports betting fans to bet on during a weekend. That’s the case this weekend as the Los Angeles Lakers, in a back to back, travel to Orlando Saturday after taking on the Heat on Friday night and the Detroit Pistons travel to Atlanta to take on the Hawks on Sunday.

Both games figure to offer plenty of opportunities for online basketball betting fans to make profit. But in order to make a nice score, basketball betting fans have to peer into the crystal ball and determine what online NBA wagering odds they are willing to take in any game.

Let’s get to it!

Best Online NBA Betting Opportunity on Saturday

Los Angeles Lakers vs. Orlando Magic – – The Lakers will be coming off of a game against the Miami Heat on Friday night. Even though they don’t have to take on the Magic until later on that afternoon, and Orlando isn’t too far from Miami, a back to back is a back to back. Some teams do well in the situation. Other teams don’t do well at all in the situation. The Lakers probably should be okay, but there’s a question as to whether Pau Gasol will play in the Miami game. Is he really that sick? If so, how is he going to suddenly get better in order to play against the Magic on Saturday? It won’t matter. The Lakers have been teetering on a loss and the Magic are still one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference. I have to go with Dwight Howard and the Magic against the BetUS Sportsbook online betting spread, provided it is within my personal number, in this game.

Pick: Orlando Magic to cover against an online wagering spread of – 3 or less.

Best Online NBA Betting Opportunity on Sunday

Detroit Pistons vs. Atlanta Hawks – – The Pistons haven’t been very good since making the trade for cry-baby Allen Iverson but I’m not sure if anybody expected much from the Pistons. I mean, Joe Dumars is rebuilding, right? Detroit has a 14 and 9 record straight-up not counting their Friday night game against the Utah Jazz. Their record against the BetUS online betting spread is 11 and 12. Rip Hamilton, Rasheed Wallace, Iverson and Tayshaun Prince should be good enough to get the job done, but they haven’t lately. Why? Could it be that Iverson is scoring too many points at 28? When Rasheed Wallace averages only 2 points a game, online sportsbook betting fans know there’s a problem. The Atlanta Hawks are a decent team going 15 and 10 straight-up and 14 and 11 against the spread. But will they be able to cover against the Pistons at home? I’m going to say, “Yes!” The BetUS online odds makers can’t make Atlanta too big of a favorite. I’ll be making a wager on Atlanta should the online betting odds end up close to what I expect.

Pick: Atlanta Hawks to cover against the online wagering spread of – 4 or less
