Week 14 NBA Wagering Review

With another week of NBA basketball now a thing of the past – and the 2008-09 NBA regular season moving into its fifteenth week it is time to take a look back…

NBA Weekly Review – Lakers are HOT

NBA Weekly Review – Red-Hot Lakers, Struggling Celtics, Reeling Raptors and More

Okay BetUS Sportsbook members, the start of another brand new week in the NBA means it’s once again time to take a look back at the week was – and brief glimpse into the coming week in an effort to help NBA betting enthusiasts everywhere increase their opportunities to make profitable winning pro basketball wagers in the BetUS Sportsbook.

This week, let’s start in the Western Conference, where the Los Angeles Lakers are on a red-hot roll.

Kobe and Co. have won six consecutive games, covering the spread in every single contest.

Maybe it’s me but the Lakers look like a lock at this point to reach the NBA Finals.

Incredibly, no other Western Conference team has won more than two consecutive games heading into tonight’s slate of NBA action with Oklahoma City, Phoenix, New Orleans and the L.A. Clippers each having won two straight games.

NBA sports betting fanatics may want to keep an eye on the struggling Minnesota Timberwolves who have lost three consecutive games and having lost its best payer in all-star power forward Al Jefferson.

When it comes to covering the spread in the Western Conference, the Lakers and San Antonio Spurs are at the top of the heap, with each going an impressive 4-1 ATS over their L/5 games.

In the Eastern Conference, the top two teams, Boston and Cleveland, each lost to the Lakers this past week, with Boston recording back-to-back home losses by failing to the Spurs on Sunday.

Cleveland suffered its first home loss of the season against the Lakers. But both, the Celtics and Cavaliers have gone an impressive 8-2 ATS over their L/10 games.

At least three Eastern Conference teams have been consistent losers recently, with the Toronto Raptors going 0-6 in their last six games, Charlotte, posting an 0-5 mark in their L/5 and New York dropping each of its last four games.

The New Jersey Nets and Chicago Bulls have been the best ATS team in the Eastern Conference, going an impressive 4-1 ATS in its L/5 while New York, Cleveland, Orlando and Atlanta have all gone a respectable 3-2 ATS over its last five games.

As far as the upcoming week is concerned BetUS NBA sports betting members, I think several contests have the look of profitable winning wagers in the BetUS Sportsbook.

Look for the Cavaliers to bounce back from their first home loss with a solid performance on Tuesday at Indiana.

I also think the Boston Celtics will play excellent basketball at New Orleans on Wednesday while the San Antonio Spurs look like they may rout the struggling Raptors also on Wednesday.

Boston also takes on the underachieving Mavericks on Thursday in a contest that should offer NBA bettors an attractive point spread.
