NUGGETS vs. WARRIORS

Time: Thursday 10:30 ET
Venue: Oracle Arena, Oakland
Spread: Nuggets -5.5
Over/Under: 226.5

Team records:
Denver: 37-19 SU, 26-27-3 ATS
Golden State: 16-40 SU, 31-24-1 ATS

The Nuggets got some criticism on national TV Sunday for losing their focus against poor teams, and the Warriors are indeed a poor team.

But Denver is 3-0 this season against Golden State, and with the Jazz a half-game back of Denver in the Northwest Division, the chance of a letdown is slim.

Tanking season is here, and the Warriors don’t figure to dorce too many 24-second violations from here on out.

Betting Trends:

Denver is 14-5 SU in its last 19 games
The total has gone OVER in 5 of Golden State’s last 6 games when playing Denver
The total has gone OVER in 13 of Golden State’s last 16 games when playing at home against Denver
The total has gone UNDER in 4 of Golden State’s last 5 games
Denver is 5-0 SU in its last 5 games when playing Golden State
The total has gone OVER in 5 of Denver’s last 6 games when playing Golden State
The total has gone OVER in 13 of Denver’s last 16 games when playing on the road against Golden State
Golden State is 17-8 SU in its last 25 games when playing at home against Denver

THURSDAY NIGHT BEST NBA PARLAY BET:

Boston and Cleveland have met only once this season (opening night). The Celtics won, but that was an eternity ago and means nothing. They’ll face off three times in the next 5 weeks in a look ahead at a possible Eastern Conference finals. The over looks like a good play at 193, especially if Pierce is a no-go. Boston also will give more minutes to newcomer Nate Robinson, who plays little defense and pushes the ball. The Warriors consistently score in triple figures against mediocre opponents, but struggle against any team that plays a bit of defense.

Either the under or Denver laying the 5.5 (admittedly a big number on the road) is the play here.
